Geeqers

Careers

Work alongside people who have done the job, not just advised on it.

Geeqers is a firm for practitioners — people who have configured the system, run the operation, debugged the integration at an inconvenient hour, and formed their opinions from that experience rather than from frameworks. We will be honest about what that means: the work here is hands-on, the standards are high, and the people you work with will expect you to know your subject deeply and say plainly what you think. If that sounds like the environment you have been looking for rather than a warning, we would like to hear from you.

Why Join

What working here is actually like.

No perks page, no ping-pong tables — the reasons practitioners join Geeqers are about the work itself.

Work that is actually technical

Consultants here spend their time on the substance — systems, data, integrations, operations — not on producing decks about work someone else will do. If you became an expert because you like the craft, this is a place to keep practicing it.

Colleagues who have operated

You will work alongside people with real operating backgrounds, including hands-on freight and logistics experience. That changes the quality of internal debate: arguments get settled by what holds up in production, not by seniority or slide count.

Judgment is trusted

We hire experienced people and then let them exercise the experience. Consultants are expected to push back on scope, flag risks directly to clients, and make calls in their area of expertise without waiting for permission through three layers of review.

Depth is the career path

You do not have to stop doing the work to advance here. We value people who get deeper and better at their craft over time, and we build engagements around that depth rather than treating delivery as a phase to be promoted out of.

What We Look For

The qualities that matter here.

  • Genuine hands-on depth in at least one of our practice areas — the kind that shows in how you talk about edge cases, not just in the technologies listed on a resume.
  • Operating empathy: you understand, or want to understand, what the people who use these systems every day actually contend with.
  • Plain, direct communication — you can explain a technical problem to an executive and a business constraint to an engineer without losing either audience.
  • Ownership through the unglamorous parts: documentation, testing, handover, and the follow-through after go-live.
  • Intellectual honesty — you say when you do not know something, change your position when the evidence changes, and prefer being corrected to being wrong quietly.

The Kind of Work

Engagements span the same practice areas we bring to our clients.

Practitioners at Geeqers work across our core disciplines, often moving between them as engagements demand — rather than being boxed into a single narrow lane.

The Process

How hiring works here.

A short, honest process built to see how you actually think and work — not to test you with puzzles.

  1. 01

    Introduction

A straightforward conversation about your background, what you want to work on, and whether there is a genuine fit with the work we do. No trick questions.

  2. 02

    Practitioner conversation

A deep discussion with senior consultants in your area of expertise, centered on real problems you have solved and how you think through the ones you have not.

  3. 03

    Working session

A practical exercise drawn from the kind of work you would actually do here, so both sides can see how you approach a realistic problem — not a puzzle for its own sake.

  4. 04

    Mutual decision

A final conversation covering expectations, ways of working, and any questions you have about the firm. We move to a decision promptly and tell you where you stand either way.

Honest note on open roles

We do not list open roles today, but we are always open to strong practitioners whose depth fits the work we do. If that describes you, reach out through our contact page and tell us what you are best at — a real conversation starts from there.
